Exhibitions

Regular exhibitions are held at the gallery, mostly theme based, but also group and solo, and have been very well received by the local community. Opening nights have been extremely well supported and have become quite an attraction with both visitors and artists. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet with the artists and discuss their work, or just come along and admire the masterful art pieces on display. Many of the exhibitions have been quirky and interesting, and initiate an immediate interest in both the subject and medium, and artist or art groups. As well as regular, advertised, curated exhibitions, Purple Noon showcases and presents a selection of  exceptional  artwork by both leading local artists and many elite Australian artists from traditional, indigenous and contemporary disciplines. The eclectic mix of styles juxtapositioned in the gallery and workshop has proved to be very popular with visitors to Purple Noon. Complimentary coffee is offered and can be enjoyed sitting in the sculpture garden looking out to the purple blue mountains vista.

Purple Noon Gallery has an ever growing and extensive mailing list. Before each new exhibition an invitation to attend the opening with dates, times and duration of exhibition is mailed out to all those on the list. Please feel free to join. At present we have four to five exhibitions each year. We have just recently been approached to become a Wedding Gift Register for couples who would prefer to select artwork for a wedding gift, and ask guests to contribute to their art register at Purple Noon Gallery in preference to receiving money or gifts. We are delighted to be able to provide this service and have now drafted a special Purple Noon Wedding Card which can be slipped into each wedding invitation explaining the wishes of the bride and groom. What a wonderful gift.
